About us…
Coin Lavigne Outfitter is one of the oldest outfitters in the Lanaudière region. Unlike most outfitters, who at the time were private clubs of American, the Coin Lavigne was a relay for loggers until the late 1940s. Later on, about 6 owners have followed up until today.
Mylène and I, Sylvain, have made the purchase of the lodge in 2009. Since that time, we continue to improve and build new cottages to meet the ever-growing clientele. The “Coin Lavigne” name comes from the fact that the main building is located at the corner of two rivers which are named: the Lavigne River and the l’Assomption River. This last one was the den for the loggers at the time..
Our geographical location is in the mountains, with eight magnificent lakes, filled with beautiful wild and stocked trout. We sow twice a week for the summer season. Additionally, we have a lake stocked with trout 2 pounds and above in May and June.
It’s easy to get to Coin Lavigne, because it is on a paved road along a beautiful river that brings you to our main building. With less than 2 hours drive from Montreal or 3 hours drive from Quebec, you get to your destination and start fishing or relaxing in the cottage you rented….
At the Main building, you have a restaurant / snack bar (open during winter period) with a bar and two bedrooms upstairs. It is possible to get fuel, fishing accessories, rent motors & batteries and have access to other services. We offer you ten cottages with electricity which are located along the two rivers. Five of them are three-bedroom cottages with a capacity of 10 people each. Others, freshly renovated, offers two bedrooms for a total of 6 people each and finally, one cottage with a bedroom to accommodate up to four people.
There are five campsites with two services (water and electricity), which are at the corner of the two rivers. Nearby, there is a small beach with kayak and paddle boat.
On the territory, you will find eight cottages which are directly on the lake shores. We find from one to three cottages per lake but distanced from each other.
During your stay at Coin Lavigne you can rent cottages with or without fishing rights to relax with your family or friends. You can also explore our moose, bear and small game hunting grounds. You can do snowshoeing, and even hiking.
During winter season, Coin Lavinge becomes a snowmobile relay which offers a restaurant service, a gas station.
Coin Lavigne Outfitters is a wise and appropriate choice for a holiday because it is a nice and easy to get to site, well located between large Quebec province cities.
